Never Go Back

Romans 6:17-19 NASB

But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed,

and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification.…

Many of you can relate to this one.

I can truly say without a doubt that I would never go back to that place in my life, where all I saw was darkness.

I didn’t see a future.

I didn’t know where I was going to be the next day.

What will I eat?

What will I wear?

It was not because I had a lot.

It was because I didn’t have anything.

Some of you may not have had that kind of experience or maybe even a worse experience.

I knew I had no future

Death was the only thing certain in my life.

All the drugs and alcohol could not free me from the pain.

But, only I believing the Word and let it free me.

John 8:32

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

I thought about death many times, but could not do it.

I was tormented by evil thoughts that clouded good or sound judgment.

I thought about my family and what my mother said, to love you’re self.

If no one does you must love yourself to want more out of life.

I was thinking of a way to stop the madness and loving myself was a good place to start.

Then I heard someone say to me; stop listening to myself,

Stop thinking about the past,

Keep the past in the past

Keep yourself pointed forward

Philippians 3:13 ISV

Brothers, I do not consider myself to have embraced it yet. But this one thing I do: Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,

Never go back

You need to focus on your future,

Everyone has a future rather good or bad.

Your future has been planned out for you.

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

You just need to find out what that is.

But, its never where you came from.

Never go back.

Have faith and hope to start you out on the right path.

You are practicing faith by moving forward in life instead of moving or going backwards.

Leave the past in the past.

Never go back

Hope brings the challenge of believing in something you want and never giving up until it comes.

Never doubt and never give up, never surrender.

In God’s words he teaches us, if a person looks back then he doubts the future.

The bible talks’ about a person who goes back is like a dog returning to his own vomit.

Luke 9:62 NLT

But Jesus told him, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.”

Now, that’s something I don’t want to ever experience.

Never go back

We must also set aside things and people that hold us back from going forward.

Hebrews 12:1 ESV

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

This doesn’t matter whether it’s a family or friends.

Abraham was told by God to leave his family, friends and land so that he would become the father of many nations.

That is all of us.

Your life is too important.

He took God at his word and he became very blessed.

Don’t worry about your family you left behind.

God will send someone to save them or he will send you back when its time to return, but for now keep looking toward your future.

Never go back

Things you use to do, you won’t do them anymore.

People you use to hang out with, you won’t anymore.

A better life awaits you.

Better friends that care about you.

They will lift you up and never let you down.

They will be on board with the plans that God has given you.

The word says to keep your eyes on the prize for the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Never go back.

Your future looks better than your past.

Mystery of Why Things Happen

Jeremiah 29:11-13 NIV

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

You go through life and suddenly your easy going life is interrupted by something.

We all are faced with why certain things happen to good people.

That’s when the mystery begins, the big bump in the road you did not want to happen, but it did.

So, what do you do?

Do you let this keep you in a state of denial or do you lift yourself up and look for a way out.

We know that in life everything happens for a reason.

If we could look at life like this, knowing it happens for a reason, we could conquer our emotions over what just happened.

Romans 8:28 NLT

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Now we can start looking for the purpose of something rather then why it happened.

We know in life we have many tests.

We know if we conquer one test another one is on its way.

Why do tests happen?

So we may gain experiences in life.

This is life development plan.

We grow from trials and tribulations.

1 Peter 1:7 NLT

These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold — and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

But, here is a case where we change something in our lives for the better and that decision cost us a lot of time and money.

Now it will take us a while to climb out of that situation.

We start praying to God for help and it doesn’t seem like He is helping us.

Why is it taking a long time for Him to answer our prayers?

So we wait and we wait.

Days, months, past and time is running out.

So, you believe that God will come and save you, so just when we needed God’s help he putts someone in our life that we must help.

It’s funny how God works things out and answer prayers.

In helping this person you end up helping out your situation.

Now you have a new friend or friends in your life with people you know can help you.

Everything happens for a reason.

God has a purpose and a plan for our lives.

If we walk around knowing this, we won’t be all that surprised when things do happen.

Matthew 5:45 AMP

To show that you are the children of your Father Who is in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the wicked and on the good, and makes the rain fall upon the upright and the wrongdoers [alike].

We should start looking for the answer to our situation.

Either through people we know or people we don’t know.

The mystery of why things happen is for a reason.

Look for the reason.

It may not come right away, but prepare for its coming.

The answer is on the way.

And the mystery is not a mystery anymore

You have discovered the reason and the why.

And if you feel that was no reason for this happening,

Then you ask yourself this;

What has come about because of this thing happening?

Or what has transpired since this has happened?

Something has changed in your life or the life of those who was affected.

Nothing happens in life just because.

Never just say that’s life

???? (Beep) happens.

Life is so integrated and it’s just much more than we can comprehend sometimes.

But, it all happens for a reason.

Just because it’s unclear to you right now,

It doesn’t mean that you will not understand later.

God plans work in the good times and the bad times.

Remember, that He will take something bad and make good things happen through this bad situation.

He never cause bad things to happen,

But, he will turn it around and use it to create some good things from it.

Genesis 50:20 ESV

As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.

Just wait

And listen

If you have not missed it, you will see how God works.

A mystery is not a mystery

You just didn’t see the reason why things happen.

 Proverbs 3:3-4 NLT

Never let loyalty and kindness get away from you! Wear them like a necklace; write them deep within your heart. 4 Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will gain a good reputation.

Here are a few questions to ask you’re self about being loyal.

What does being loyal mean to you?

Is it being faithful to someone or something?

Do you say, no matter what comes my way, I will stay true to God no matter what happens in life.

Do you say; nothing will make me change my mind about God?

I will stay loyal to my family and friends no matter what.

In that case, you must be ready in season and out of season, to be ready for things that will try your loyalty, just as life tries your faith.

People will try you in the area of loyalty to see if you are true to your word.

What can change your mind?

Can you be persuaded by things or by peer pressure?

By being with the popular people or crowds?

What can change your good way of thinking to a way that is distrusting?

Are you someone that takes information about a friend and use it to make yourself look good among the popular crowd?

Can God trust you?

Hebrews 10:23

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

Do you care about the people you call your friends and family?

Can your friends and family trust you?

Do you say trust me and then turn around and brake that trust the moment they turn their backs?

Being loyal has good benefits.

With people and friends you know that they have your back and you have theirs.

They will be there when you need them.

Being loyal with God means that he can use you to speak to people and people will open up to you so their healing will began.

He can send you to places that most people cannot go.

Loyalty has its benefits and will be rewarded.

1 Samuel 26:23 NLT

The LORD gives his own reward for doing good and for being loyal, and I refused to kill you even when the LORD placed you in my power, for you are the LORD’s anointed one.

Doors will be opened to you, where they are closed to others.

Positions on jobs, in school, on teams, favor with people in high positions will bring you higher up in life.

Their memory of you should be always of a good report.

Is being loyal good in God’s eyes?

Loyalty is right standing in God’s eyes.

Which means, righteousness?

Love Yourself And Help Others

Matthew 22:27-39 ESV

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Of course, when you are talking about helping others, you first have to start with the love of one self.

If you cannot love yourself, then how can you be any help to others?

God so love the world that he gave his only Son to be a sacrifice to save the world.

So let us look at ourselves.

We are made in the image of God.

We were made in God’s mine before we came to the earth.

We are beautiful crafted by the hands of God.

We have purpose and there is a plan for our life.

God said that he placed us above all people of the earth.

His children are Kings and Priest.

If we are manufactured by God and God Is Love, then we are to Love.

And so we started with the Father’s love for his creation.

So as we capture our face in a mirror, what do we see?

No matter what your thoughts are when you do, you must see love.

If your thoughts are of love, then your mind set changes what appears to be something else into Love.

It’s funny how the mind works, but it’s true that love conquers all things, even your own thoughts of negative thinking toward yourself.

After you have done this mind altering change to love yourself, now it’s time for you to show and give love to others.

1 John 4:8 NIV

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

There is a whole world out there ready to receive what you have just discovered about yourself.

Now to those who you touch, they will receive something they have been longing for a long time.

Some will be so gracious for you touching their lives that they will want to bless you.

They will build up inside them a love that they too can hold in a mirror and the cycle of loving will go on and on.

To many that didn’t know God’s love, you are the love of God in the earth realm.

So let your love shine, you have the love light brightly shinning for all to see.

They will be many drawn to you, to receive this light.

It will be easy to share with them your love, because of the love for yourself and the love that created you.

All have the love they need to love them self and to love others as them self, it just lays dormant inside you.

In all cases it has been held back for some reason by a dark cloud that looms over your heart.

The dark clouds can be wipe away

John 13:34 ESV

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

By practicing showing love towards others, it will move away the darkness and let your love light shine through.

The enemy of love uses many negative things in life to hold back the love inside you.

The issues of life and tragedies though are hard; love will make them all easier to deal with once you applied love to all of it.

By holding on to those things that held you captive, you will suffer the lack of love.

Even though they are sometimes daunting, they can be dealt with by opening the windows to your heart and letting love in.

We all need help now and then, let someone help you and that love shown towards you will wipe the dark clouds away.

You see

Any way you see it, Love is the key to helping yourself and to help others.

So love yourself

Show love to others

Let your love light shine where ever you go.

Once given it always has a way of returning back to you a hundred fold return.

It’s what started this thing called life.

Love Guides

2 Thessalonians 3:5 BEB

And may your hearts be guided by the Lord in the love of God and quiet waiting for Christ.

We are guided in life by many things.

Guided by thoughts of success, riches, and love

Unfortunately, we are sometimes guided by whatever life brings.

Love can also guide you into the wrong things or it can guide you into something beautiful.

How do you know the love you are receiving is leading you in the right directions?

Do I believe in love?

First, you have to answer the question, is it right in your heart, mind and soul.

Secondly, does it satisfy my need?

Do I feel comfortable?

Do I trust it?

Do I feel it will hurt me?

Can I see a future with this love I’m receiving?

Is it just physical or is it in my heart’s mind also?

Am I happy with this love?

Does this Love answers the questions about who I am and why I am here?

Last, can I be guided by this love to lead me in the direction where my life is going?

Jeremiah 29:11-13 NIV

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

We think of love mostly in a way of just caring about someone, we don’t think a lot about what love does.

Love can guide you to all understanding.

Philippians 4:7 KJV

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

You see once you start receiving love, you will start to notice that love is taking you somewhere.

It starts preparing a place for your life to go.

Love has to add to your life and not take away.

If you believe in it, then let love guide you.

Love Doesn’t Wait

1 Corinthians 13:4 NIV

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

Love doesn’t wait for you.

It has its own timing and scheduled plan

It does not hold any regard to who you are or where you are in life.

Whether or not you are ready for it

Love is on a mission.

Love doesn’t wait.

Ready or not

Here is comes.

You have been seeking love

Don’t worry, it’s here.

Whether or not you are going through issues in life

Mentally or physically

It’s here to pour it’s shelf over everything you are going through.

You already know it cannot be stopped.

You just have to embrace it.

There are two open hands and arms waiting to take you in and hold you and never let go.

If the world needs a hug then these arms are ready to hold this world.

You know about the love that created this world and the universe.

It’s this exact same love that will never fell you or let you down.

Look at your pain no more.

Love has taken it away.

It doesn’t matter what you have done.

1 Peter 4:8 ESV

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

There is nothing under the sun that love cannot cover up.

Wiped away

Get rid of

Take away

Once gone it will not return to you

Only if you allow it

The past can remain in the past if you want it to.

Love has forgotten all about it.

Psalm 103:12 NASB

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him.

Why can’t you?

Love doesn’t wait.

Ready or not

Here it comes.

Losing your way to lean back on the Word

Sometimes in life when we loose our way, it’s because we have gotten away from what has gotten us to where we are.

So many of us have felled, because we had gotten to a high level in our faith, but the test got a little too much to handle.

We start to face the issues of life with our physical abilities.

We had forgotten what got us here.

It was not by might.

Nor by sight

It was by faith.

Romans 10:17 KJV

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

When we start losing our way

God will chasten us in order to get us to lean back on the Word.

It was our faith in the Word which got us here.

So why not go back to the source of our success?

The Word of faith.

I know some of you do what it takes to get you where you want to be and then you put it aside once you get there, not knowing that you still need it to keep you there.

By putting it aside for one moment is enough to make you stumble.

Then you ask why or what happened.

It’s like practicing for a sport and then once you have reached the pinnacle of success and you have received many rewards, you think well I don’t need to practice any more.

I have all the success to prove that I have made it

Not knowing, if you slip up just a little, there are those waiting to take you down.

They have been waiting to see your weakness, so they can

challenge you.

One mistake

One slip up

One hesitation

And your enemies waiting on the side line, eager to eat your lunch.

Look, you have been using the Word

You have received much success

Your faith is much developed then it ever was

It’s easy to stay ready and be developed in the Word.

Due to you having studied up you are stronger against many issues of life that will try to come against you.

As the issues of life come

Don’t be weary

Galatians 6:9 NIV

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Many of us have made some mistakes.

When you are

Losing your way

God will help

To lean you back on the Word

You will find yourself back in the drivers set with the Holy one of God leading you all the way back.

The lesson you just learned will be there to remind you that, what got you here you will never put aside.

It has to be used in your everyday life, even when you have reached much success.

So never put it away

Or you will find yourself

Losing your way only

To lean back on the Word

To get you back on track

Your faith will lead you back to where you belong.
