1 Peter 2:2 NLT
Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment,
If you are new to the word of God
You were born imperfect and now made perfect through Jesus Christ
If you are not versed in the knowledge of God
Cannot fully discern the ways of evil
But you are passionate about the things of God.
You are what we deem to be a babe in Christ.
1 Corinthians 3:1 HCSB
Brothers, I was not able to speak to you as spiritual people but as people of the flesh, as babies in Christ.
Though they may be many who have not ground past their rebirth for many years.
They are still babes in Christ.
An adult in Christ is
Seasoned in many ways through trials and tasting.
Have studied the Word
Recognizes the many faces of the evil
Able to take his sword and fight well with it
Prepared and ready to battle
Ready to help those who need a helping hand
Can share and lay hands on the sick and they recover!
A giver of time and money
Walks by faith and not by site
Has all the evidence and everyone can see it
Others can learn from them on living a life of a Christian.
If you are new to the Christian faith,
Do not be dismayed by the word babe.
Like I said earlier, they many that are of age and have been a babe for some time now.
You just have to stay in faith
Keep fighting through.
Never give up and never surrender.
Babes need more addition.
Your father knows you have need of milk still, but be aware that the evil one also knows your new commitment.
He will try and test you in your new found faith.
The early stage in your walk with Christ is very critical.
Stay committed to it.
It will never fell you.
He will never fell you.
Remember if you are feeling weak.
Seek him first when you rise in the morning and pray and think him always before you go to sleep at night.
I am confident if you do all you can to stand
Then you will become as the adults in Christ.
Ready to be taken off the milk and given meat to eat
