Facing the Demons

1 Peter 5:8 ESV

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

This is a story that all or many of us in some way has faced, before in our past present or future.

But, here is a story about the demons and us winning.

First, a little about demons we face in day to day life.

Growing up in this world is a hard task without proper guidance, support and love.

Without protection life’s demons come running to us to

Convert what is good in us to a way of life that is bad.

Most every time they win

And for most of us who stay doing what the demons want become addicted and once that happens we feel that there is no way out.

The demons also have convinced us of that.

We bought into their lies, because it seemed like a good and sweet ideal at the time.

We were easily over taken by the power of persuasion, due to the fact that some dramatic thing happened making what the demons said seem like a good idea.

Genesis 3:1-6 NIV

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”

“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

Even those who didn’t face any terrible thing in life still made wrong decisions.

The pressures of life are sometimes enough to make us want out of it.

We are given a plate of things to choose from, but we end up making the wrong choices.

We all know what they are, but here are some of things the demons try to feed us.

Sex, drugs, alcohol, lying, cheating, steeling, killing, murdering, using people, selfish behavior, bad languish, disrespect, and many others that are not mention here, but you know what they are.

This list can go on and on.

The only way out is to face the demons head on with help.

James 4:7 ESV

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Some of you can do it alone, because you have learned how through the Word to defeat the demons.

But, for those who cannot yet, the only true way to face the demons is with God’s help.

You must return to your creator.

Like an inventor of a product.

If it’s broken, you can return it to the manufacturer so you can get it fixed.

God works that way too, if you need help with this human body return it to the maker, God.

Without knowledge of how life works you will fell.

You must seek knowledge through Gods word.

You must believe that he can heal you.

So you must believe that he can help you defeat the demons who are giving you bad information about your life.

You must take the first steps towards him and if you need his help, believe that he will be there.

For those who reach out to him, he was always there to pick them up.

God said faith without works is dead.

You must give him a try.

By faith all things are possible.

Once you receive Jesus into your heart, from that moment you are his child.

And all God’s children at that moment can overcome all demons in life.

God says that we are more than conquers to them who believe.

Its in believing that we begin to win out over demons.

Demons had you, but once you start believing, you have them under your feet.

God’s word says that you now have power over the demons.

You must command them as Jesus did, he said get the behind me

John 16:33 NIV

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

He has no power over you anymore.

At the name of Jesus, demons tremble.

The only power he has is what you are still holding on to.

Once you begin to let it go, they will leave.

The faster you do it, the faster the demons will leave.

Luke 10:19 ESV

Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.

God’s love for you will never ever fell you.

Call upon him in every situation and he will be there to direct your path.

We must have faith.

If you want to get God moving for you, you must walk by faith and not by what you see.

Faith believes without seeing.

For without faith you cannot please God.

He moves by faith.

Like a warrior you are equipment to face the demons.

Use your lips to speak God’s word to those things that are holding you back from victory over the demons.

They will leave if you believe and speak by faith.

And now you are free to love and to enjoy all that life has to offer you.

Your life now has truly begun.

The end
