Matthew 4:1-11 NIV
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” 4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ” 5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.” 7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.” 8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” 10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only’.” 11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.
What has the devil been telling you?
How long have you been listening to him?
Have you said the right things back to him?
Are you prepared for such a conversation?
You know being ready is just like being ready for a race.
You must be prepared at all times.
What are the levels of conversations with him?
Just stick with the Word and telling him what it says.
How often has he been interfering in your life?
Is it to the point that the level of his bothering you is too much to handle sometimes?
In these moments does he seem to win?
Do you find yourself doing what he suggests?
Are you finding yourself struggling to maintain your head above the water?
And just to get him off your back, you regress back to some of your old ways.
You find yourself appeasing the devil so he would leave you along.
Have you asked yourself why are you being harassed so much, even more than ever before by the devil.
Have you not learn anything from the last time he harassed you?
One test is as another.
Only this time God has allowed him to turn up the heat a bit more.
But only in areas where you are still weak
Areas that must be molded before you can go to the next level.
You must know by now that you are being prepared for something great.
Your life is needed to affect this world.
You’re much to close to your destiny that’s why he is testing you there.
Focus on it.
Plaster it everywhere,
So you will know the devil’s actions and God’s plan.
Set yourself in motion to make the area that is being focused on your highest priority.
Yes you have a plan, but if you cannot conquer this one area in your life, your plans will be stifled by this one weakness.
It’s your choice.
Get ready for a battle
No, not the one with the devil
The one with yourself
The devil has been speaking to you,
But you don’t have to listen.
