Romans 6:17-18 ESV
But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.
Set free from pain and sufferings of being trapped.
Trapped by life,
Trapped by wrong relationships,
Trapped by circumstances and issues of life,
Trapped by what you believe to be true or real.
Life trappings are plain to see, but because of peer pressures we don’t know when to say enough is enough.
Relationships can be one of the hardness trappings in life to get set free from, because of the heart.
Our hearts can be captured by what we think is love and it’s not.
We humans are made to love.
We have an inert need to love, but we can get caught up by false impressions of love.
We also can trap ourselves into false love, by having a great need to not be without love.
Loneliness is a large reason that most people get trapped into false love and once they are in then they are awakened by the horrible reality.
Get set free from these trappings of love is easy as getting educated on what true love is and what it is not.
Romans 6:22 NIV
But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
We all need to be set free from something in our lives that is holding us back from going forward in life.
By finding out the true meaning of why we hold on to things that keep us in bondage, we can seek freedom and find it.
Freedom is there for all of us, but we have to want it.
Time is not on our side when we are lost in a situation we need to find freedom.
Our minds can trap us also, by thinking we can’t do with or do without something.
This weak state of mind comes from someone telling us that we are less than what we think or that we can’t make it without them in our lives.
God’s word gives a foundation for freedom in every area in our lives.
Bondage: If the Son (Jesus) therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.
Lack: By putting our trust in God to take care of every need, we will lack nothing.
Abuse: You can live without this by trusting God and leaving that situation.
Relationship: If you have a relationship with God he will send you a relationship with the right person.
Sufferings: He suffered for you, meaning you don’t have to.
Pain: He has taken pain, sufferings and diseases to the cross, so just believe in him.
Want: No more want, if you walk by faith and not by sight. Seek you first the Kingdom, and all this things shall be added to you.
People from Heaven, representing Heaven should live on earth like they were still in Heaven.
Love: The greatest showing of love is God sending his son to die for us all.
Luke 10:19 HCSB
Look, I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; nothing will ever harm you.
The price for freedom for whatever is wrong in your life was sent to the cross and the blood washed it away.
So, now you know you have been set free.
It’s time for you to believe that you are free and give back the chains of bondage where you got them from.
