Ephesians 5:22 ISV
Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands as to the Lord.
Colossians 3:18 NLT
Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting for those who belong to the Lord.
So as the husband has submitted himself to God, she can consequently submit to her husband.
It’s easy to loose yourself in the confidence and faith of another if you have assurance that person has completely submitted himself to God.
This is written not only to the wife or a woman that is considering marriage to a man, but to learn about why we should submit.
Also, to the person to one is being submitted to.
When dealing with submission unto their husbands who are not saved and don’t believe in the word.
1 Peter 3:1(read 1-6) NIV
Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives,
God will honor your faithfulness to himself as He through your submission changes the heart of your husband.
The same goes to those have authority over you.
God ask us to submit to those who have authority or rule over us.
This is to those like the Government, State, Local or the law that is established to govern us, also to the ones we work for.
God hold them responsible for their power over his people.
But they are in authority for a purpose and plan.
They most take this responsibility seriously.
Their very life might be dependent on what they do and the laws they put into place over the people of God.
To wives and women that are considering a husband for marriage, to take responsibility over their family.
The word says, “Wives submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the Savior of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives are to their own husbands in everything.”
Wives or those to be
In order to submit to a man, he must have God given attributes.
He must have submitted himself to God.
He must have shown himself ready to take the responsibility of authority.
He must show himself honorable.
He must be ready in all areas ready to lead.
A man of valor
You must see he is to lead you.
You must see he is ready to be head and Priest for you and your family.
You must see in him the things that are right in God’s eyes.
You must be able to hold him accountable as God has put into his hands your life and your family lives.
You must see he is tested and tried to be ready for this responsibility.
You must be shown he is learning and is being taught of the word.
I know this is a lot to look for in one, but if he is ready to take the responsibility of holding your life in his hands just as Christ holds his life in His hands.
God has placed in his hands a great responsibility to prepare the family and get it ready for the return of the Lord and ready to enter into Heaven.
He will be responsible for preparing and protecting it from outside forces that try to take the family down.
As he submits to the Lord, the Lord has given him the power he will need to lead his family the way God has set in order for your family.
He must be ready to say at anytime, Lord here is my family you have given to me to protect, feed, love, nourish, lead, train, show the right way to go, and when I need help in the areas where I am weak you have given me a help mate that is my equal.
Man has been given a great responsibility of giving his life for his family in every conceivable way as Christ has given us his life.
I know that this is a tall order to look for in a man, but this you should know that God has equipped every man with what he needs to take responsibility for you and your family.
Many of them may not know it yet, but they have all they it takes to become what God has set in order.
He must be trained by God and by men of God to be ready for this responsibility of being the head of the family.
You will know when it’s time as they will know it will be time for them to take their leadership role.
He will continue to be trained and forever being prepared even after he has taken the leadership role for his family.
It’s easy to lose yourself in the confidence of him if you have assurance that he has completely submitted to God and is being used by him for the purpose of bringing the family into the Kingdom of Heaven.
At this time you will know you can submit to him as he is submitted himself to God.
