As Jesus went about letting his light shine for the whole world to see, so shall you do the same!
So as Jesus was here on the earth before his death, so are you now.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
This is key to us imitating Christ.
Light our light shine before men.
That same light, which shined so brightly in Christ, should shine from you also the same way as it did for him.
Why is this important that we too shine like Christ or even to imitate him?
He came to show the way and how to act like people from Heaven.
Our spirits remind us of where we come from.
It’s the light and driving force behind our work.
We can do nothing in this earth realm if it’s not for the light.
God’s spirit living and breathing on the inside of us
God wants us to be like Christ.
It’s just like those who have gone before us and have left behind their journey to inspire us.
If we allow our bodies to do as the world does things, then the spirit of Heaven will have no effect on the earth.
In order to have the most effect here imitating Christ he will motivate us to bring out our calling.
And now this imitation of Christ turns into the imitation of Christ working in us to carry out God’s ultimate plan of saving the world by the hands of the Children of God.
Imitating Christ is not a bad thing.
It helps in giving us direction
A way to follow when our on self has not fully developed our calling
We follow the light of Christ until we can let our light shine before all men.
Just like the student become the Master and Lord.
He has now been fully immersed into the things of God and now he has become the light sent from Heaven.
As Jesus was we are now.
Now you have become whom the Father and Son have sent.
Imitate him until you have become the forerunner for Kingdom of Heaven.
With every generation God is building up the Kingdom with the imitation of Christ through man.
Each man and woman will become the light of Heaven on earth for all.
Jesus is calling you out.
Walk as he walked
Talk as he talked
Lay hands on them
Healing the land
Pointing the lost in the right direction
Be the forerunner for them that will soon become the forerunners for the next generation.
Show them the way
And they will follow
By imitating Christ we become like him
Therefore, be imitators of God, as dearly loved children. And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.
As Christ came to giving himself and showing us how to love and live, he was showing us what heaven was all about.
How to start?
Giving up yourself for the Kingdom of Heaven.
Imitate Him with yourself starting with your bodies.
Romans 12:1 NLT
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice–the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.
True Imitation is not acting like Him in the manner in which he came, but to imitate him in where he left off. What he told us to do, in using our own talents and abilities giving to us by God to carry out his plan for bringing the foe into the Kingdom by opening their eyes to the truth.
Psalms for Life II: “Get Motivated to Pursue Your Destiny”
