I need you to think about this for a moment.

You might be in a position where you are thinking about settling.

Think about this, you have been on this road for a while now.

You have been battling the demon within all this time.

Saying no to selfishness

Saying yes to the Spirit where as with the demon that is in the flesh has not given up easily.

You have won many, but loss a few.

Your purpose is just ahead.

You can see the victory is quite close.

Then here it comes.

Your biggest challenge yet to date.

It may be something you just had the victory over.

You have just gotten off the battle field.

When suddenly,

Wham! Bam! Thank you Mam!

You got blindsided.

It was not something recently.

It was something you forgot about from the beginning.

Yes, your own self.

The man in the mirror

And the biggest disappointment was that you didn’t see it and you settled for it, because you thought it was time to enjoy a few victories.

You thought that this was the best that you could do.

You let your self think that God doesn’t answer your specific prayers.

You give God the details in your prayers.

You were so specific in want you wanted that God had even shown you a glimpse of it.

You can see yourself in the distance.

You where so happy leading up to that moment when you got blindsided.

You where shown another image.

Something a little less than what God had promised you.

In fact, it looks really good, almost like what God had promised you.

You thought about it a lot.

You started thinking about things God had worked out of you.

You started thinking how you may not get it.

You where not good enough for it

You said, maybe this was a sign that this is all I could get.

So you started thinking that you better take this opportunity that is in front of me before you lose out.

You thought that the glimpse God gave you was just a figment of your imagination.

This one in front of you is here and you can touch it.

Never Settle!!!

You know by now that this is just a ploy by the devil to make you give in.

Settling for less is not in God’s word and not his best for you.

If you have been promised the mountain then wait all the time it takes until God delivers the mountain to you.

Remember this word of God.

Numbers 23:19

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent:  has he said, and shall he not do it?  Or has he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

2 Corinthians 1:20 NIV

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.

I know you have battled long.

I know it was a long race.

Psalm 27:14 KJV

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

But, seeing the images God gave you and the promises he made, wouldn’t you know to wait on God to get you there.

You can see the doors are opening and things are really looking like you are going to make it to the top.

Thinking about all those victories was not time to give in to it and let your self be taken in by what seems to look like what you wanted.

Its time to shout for joy, for your victory is at hand.

Though still in the distance it’s not time give in.

I know you are tired, we all are.

But, we must keep pressing on towards our victory at hand.

Never settle for less than what you hoped for.

Never settle for less than what God had promised you.

2 Peter 3:9 NIV

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Never settle for the crumbs when you can have the whole cake.

For in settling

You might end up with something you have to live with the rest of your life.

What a mistake that would be.

When happiness is yet but a moment away

Stick it out for just a little while longer.

If you need help in your weak state of mind

Ask God who have shown you the way to help you get to this door.

Victory is yours.

Wait for it

Wait for it.

Wait for it.

In settling you are not going to receive the best that God has promised you.

The end
