As you can remember from the word that when Jesus was getting closer to is appointed time to be on the cross, he felt the pressure of it in his flesh and He cried out.
In this teaching we pick it up in this verse of the word where Jesus goes and prays with three of his disciples and he felt sorrowful and very heavy.
He felt death of the cross and this task weighing very heavy on his heart.
Now here is his prayer to God.
O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will but as thou wilt.
The Amplified says and the end of that sentence.
Not what I will, not what I desire, but as you will and desire
And in verse 42, new King James
O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
Here Jesus flesh wants this cup to pass, but in his spirit he knows that this is the reason he came and must press onward.
We all have prayed like Jesus; let these trials and tests pass us by.
We get so tired in our flesh going through these trials and tests that we just want out.
Hey, you know what?
But, as we know that we started this journey knowing what waits us on the end of it.
Hopefully, God gets us into a place where he want us to be.
And He has developed and molded us in an area of our life where we did not have the experiences to handle the task at hand or on the next level were he wants us to be.
There is much to be gained by going through a test and a trial.
We don’t like it one bit all the things we have to go through.
We as humans want the short cut with less pain as possible.
Yes, we try the counting it all joy speech to our selves in the mirror.
We have tried preaching our selves happy.
You know physician heel thy self.
We talk about the dream and vision that God has prepared us for, but all the while going through the journey we start asking our selves, is it worth all the pain.
The other thing is feller.
Less face it we all don’t make it through without a few scratches and bruises.
We all don’t go through without haven fallen a few times.
He didn’t tell us that the journey was going to be an easy one.
But, this is how God works things out in our lives.
We know that this is how he develops us for great things.
We all heard our enemies’ voices and images in our head that came to distract us.
And we now each time we fell because of the things the enemy knows about us, he throws that back at us to say; see you want make it one day or one week because of your weakness.
We know through everything that this too shall pass.
We know that the end is near, because of the intense pressure in our flesh.
But yet again I remind myself and you.
That this too shall pass.
You’ve heard that saving about it’s always darkest before the storm.
Or it is calm in the eye of a hurricane.
So we know the end is near when your flesh feels the pressure and the closeness to the end.
This is needed to finally push you over into the next level.
If you want to stand in the winner’s cycle, you most grab hold of every ounce of strength you have and deliver the final blow.
Then we can look back on those experiences to build your faith even more.
Others will need to hear of your journey.
Like yours they have the need for council and encouragement.
As what you are learning to develop your self through God’s way of doing things, there are many that can use this information so they can learn what winning feels like.
Even though victory has been given to us, we still need to take the journey or run the course to receive the trophy.
So hear is one more thing to add to your routine of building yourself up.
Jude 1:20-23 NLT
But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, 21 and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.
22 And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering. 23 Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.
This too shall pass.
