Losing your way to lean back on the Word

Sometimes in life when we lose our way, it’s because we have gotten away from what has got us to where we are.

So many of us have felled, because we had gotten to a high level in our faith, but the test got a little too much to handle.

We start to face the issues of life with our physical abilities.

We had forgotten what got us here.

It was not by might.

Nor by sight

It was by faith through the holy one.

Zechariah 4:6 ESV

Then he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts.

When we start losing our way

God will chasten us in order to get us to lean back on the word.

It was our faith in the Word which got us here.

So why not go back to the source of our success?

The Word of faith

Joshua 1:8 NLT

Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

I know some of you do what it takes to get you where you want to be and then you put it aside once you get there, not knowing that you will still need it to keep you here.

By putting it aside for one moment is enough to make you stumble.

Then you ask why or what happened.

It’s like practicing for a sport and then once you have reached the pinnacle of success and you have received many rewards, just to think well I don’t need to practice any more.

I have all the success to prove that I have made it.

This is foolish thinking

1 Corinthians 3:18 NIV

Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise.

Not knowing, if you slip up just a little, there are those waiting to take you down.

1 Peter 5:8 AMP

Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.

They have been waiting to see your weakness, so they can challenge you.

One mistake

One slip up

One hesitation

And your enemies waiting on the side line, eager to eat your lunch

Look, once you have been using the Word and you have received much success.

Your faith is much developed then it ever was.

It’s easy to stay ready and be developed in the Word.

Due to you having studied up and you are stronger against many issues of life that will try to come against you.

As the issues of life come

Don’t be weary

Many of us have made some mistakes.

When you are

Losing your way

God will help

To lean you back on the word

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

You will find yourself back in the drivers set

With the Holy one of God leading you all the way back.

The lesson you just learned will be there to remind you that, what got you here you will never be put aside.

It has to be used in your everyday life, even when you have reached much success.

So never put it away

Or you will find yourself

Losing your way only

To lean back on the word

To get you back on track

The end
